Supported Group Living
Supported Group Living provides a welcoming and supportive environment for people aged 18 and over who require daily supervision and support with various activities of daily living. Our 24-hour accommodations are thoughtfully integrated throughout the community to ensure comfort and inclusivity.
Each person enjoys the benefits of an individualized, person-centred plan. These plans are developed annually and reviewed regularly to adapt to the evolving needs and preferences of each individual. Our dedicated team is committed to fostering a sense of belonging and independence, ensuring that every person can thrive in a supportive and caring atmosphere.
Supported Independent Living
Supported Independent Living is a transformative program designed to empower adults who live independently or semi-independently within the community, outside their family homes. This program offers a wide range of personalized supports, ensuring that each person receives the guidance and assistance they need to thrive.
Participants benefit from periodic support with essential activities of daily living, such as grocery and personal shopping, meal preparation, money management, and overall household tasks. Our approach is deeply rooted in fostering independence and enhancing quality of life.
Through individualized skill development training, based on carefully assessed needs, we help each person build the confidence and capabilities necessary to navigate their daily lives successfully. This program is not just about support; it's about inspiring growth, independence, and a sense of achievement in every person. Together, we create a nurturing environment where everyone can reach their fullest potential and lead fulfilling, self-sufficient lives.
Homeshare
Homeshare is an alternative living program that offers people with developmental disabilities the opportunity to live within a family or person's home.
People are matched to families/people who share similar interests and compatibility. Most often our placements are long-term with an emphasis on commitment to inclusion, growth, and opportunity.
Families or people interested in becoming a Homeshare provider are required to complete a comprehensive screening process (including police checks) and participate in in-home visits with the Homeshare Supervisor.
Homeshare providers receive training, remuneration, respite, and support.
Family Support Services
Family support coordinators assist the families who have a child or adult family member who has a developmental disability living in their home. Assistance is tailored to each family’s needs but could include the following: Case Coordination, respite recruiting, planning short and long term, applications for funding, administration of funds, school supports and transitions toward work planning.
Day Programs
Every person’s needs, desires, aspirations, social milieu and limitations are unique. We offer a variety of options to meet the needs of each individual. These include experiential enhancement, community, volunteerism, crafting, exercise, cooking, special outings, and many other activities. Our staff are constantly on the lookout for new ideas and ways to get people involved and participating in the richness of life in their community. We pride ourselves on flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of our participants and their families.
