  • Ed Mafa

    Director of Finance

    Ed Mafa is the Director of Finance and Corporate Services for Community Living Grimsby, Lincoln & West Lincoln. With over 10 years experience in accounting and applying a strong expertise in financial management for the not-for-profit sector, Ed will be a welcome addition to the organization.

    Prior to joining Community Living Grimsby, Ed was Senior Manager, Corporate Finance for Nature Conservancy Canada, where he provided over-sight for the budgeting process, corporate reporting, external audits, among other senior management responsibilities.

    Previous to this, Ed was Director of Finance and Corporate Services for Canadian Urban Institute, a not-for-profit enterprise based in downtown Toronto that provides applied research on urban issues and also manages international development projects on behalf of the Federal Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development.

    Ed Mafa is a member of the Certified Professional Accountants (CPA) of Ontario. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics from Central Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree from University of Zimbabwe.

    Ed was born and raised in Zimbabwe, and he came to North America about 10 years ago. He is married and has 4 boys with ages ranging from 10 to 19 years. Ed enjoys gardening and sport and in his spare time, he volunteers providing accounting and financial management services for a local church.

  • Ron Laroche

    Director of Operations

    Ron arrives at Community Living Grimsby, Lincoln and West Lincoln with nearly 10 years’ experience in the developmental services sector.

    Formerly, he was the Director of Communications, Marketing, Fund Development for Community Living Ontario, where he oversaw the organization’s internal and external communications and fund development, liaised with member agencies, and executed provincial initiatives including the annual conference and awareness campaigns.

    As the Coordinator of Communications and Fundraising for Community Living Wallaceburg, Ron’s core responsibilities included maintaining the agency’s presence in the community, managing fund development initiatives and special events, and fostering relationships with businesses, non-profit organizations, and service clubs across Chatham-Kent.

    With a background in communications and fundraising, including a Journalism and Communications Media diploma from Mohawk College and a Political Science degree from Brock University, he has previously worked and volunteered for radio and television stations across southern Ontario.

    In addition to enjoying spending time with his wife and daughter, Ron likes running and visiting craft breweries.
